RV Renovation!

We LOVE camping. So when we discovered a big ol’ trailer dying on someone’s property we jumped at the chance to turn it into our own little glamping paradise on wheels! We handed over the cash and hauled ‘er home for a big fat makeover…

Dave and I are generally pretty good at envisioning our projects from start to finish, but I’m not going to lie… it took a lot of faith to see past all the dingy upholstery and orangey faux wood panelling in this baby. We knew we had a lot of work ahead of us, but were so excited to transform the tiny space!

Our vision for the RV was something very light, open, and airy. When you’re working in such a tiny unit I think it’s very important to stick with bright colours and a simple design. A few coats of whiter-than-white paint, some vibrant textiles, and a little Scandinavian-style decor was just what she needed to go from a dank, dark capsule to a gorgeous, natural, breathable space. We are SO thrilled with how the reno came out and I am so excited to share it with you all! Without further ado, here are the “AFTER” pictures!

And that’s it! We took her for a spin late in the camping season and were really pleased with how it felt. Dappled sunlight and fresh breezes poured through the windows during the day, and we snuggled up together at night, cozy and warm with candles and blankets. For just over $5000 we were able to create a space where family memories will be made. Our own little box of light and love. A home that we can take with us wherever we go!
